If I live outside of Texas, may I apply?
Be It! scholarships and grants are limited to those going to school or residing in Texas.
If I need emergency assistance, can I contact Be It?
Our emergency assistance funds are distributed through organizations in San Antonio and Laredo, Texas. The funding is limited to rental assistance, utilities, food and basic needs, up to specific dollar amounts. The two organizations currently receiving emergency assistance support for their programs are Salvation Army of Laredo https://www.salvationarmytexas.org/laredo/ and Catholic Charities Archdiocese of San Antonio https://ccaosa.org/emergency-assistance/. What do scholarships cover?
Scholarships cover tuition and/or living expenses if tuition is already covered through other means. The goal is to increase success by eliminating the financial stress that limit student performance. Checks are cut directly to the institution.
If I have an innovative idea, but it is outside of Texas, can I still apply?
Our grants are for Texas residents only.
How do I share my story to help reduce mental health stigma?
